Recent News From The 教师参议院
·教务会议: 现在开会 计划 to be in-person and are held on the first Thursday of every month. Next meeting is 计划 for September 7, 2023. Mask are not mandated but are encouraged due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
·秋季选举: New Elected Officers for the 2023-2025 term will take office on September 1st, 2023.

TSU 教师手册 Section I: Part I: Article I (当前)
The faculty of the University shall perform the following functions in regard to the academic operation of the university: approval of degrees; curriculum planning; determination of requirements for earned degrees; establishment of academic regulations, the recommendation of candidates for appointment, 任期内, 保留, and promotion; participation in the selection and evaluation of academic administrators; and consider matters that affect the welfare of the members of the faculty.
The Faculty Assembly is the official policy-making body of the 德克萨斯南方大学 (TSU) faculty. It is the faculty's vehicle for participation in the shared governance of the university.
The recommendations of the Faculty Assembly are made to either the Provost or directly to the President of the University for appropriate action or for 背书 to the 德克萨斯南方大学 校董会. The Assembly may delegate such powers as it chooses to the 教师参议院. All decisions and/or actions of the 教师参议院, 然而, 须经检讨, 背书, 或由教职员大会废止.
